Tips to get rid of hickeys

Well, the home remedies are effective ways to heal a hickey but may take some time to completely zap a love bite. There are some tips you can try to hide your hickey or make it look less like a hickey, so that nobody can guess for sure what the colored blooming’s are?

  • Makeup is a creative way to hide a hickey but you need to be extra wise in selecting the right shades and in right way, as not to make it more visible or noticeable. To conceal the redness of a hickey, a green shade can be used. A yellow foundation can be applied on top to hide a purple hickey, as well as, to prevent reflection of the lining. A peach concealer can nix a yellow hickey. Choose shade according to the color of the hickey and finish with applying loose powder to give it a natural look.
  • Proper clothes can also save you from the embarrassment. Turtle-neck or high collar shirts can hide hickeys on the neck. Similarly, tying scarfs, bandana or mufflers around the neck, cannot just look trendy and glamorous but can hide a hickey too. But remember, clothes should be selected keeping the weather in mind or you end up grabbing more attention which can embarrass you as well.
  • Clever Jewelry pieces can help you hide a love bite. Accessorizing your look with a chain necklace or choker could also hide a hickey in a glamorous way.
  • If you have long hair, you can use them to hide a love bite, but it can only be used for a shorter period of time.
  • Apply vitamin K based lotion or cream on the hickey several times a day.
