Try pore strips to get rid of blackheads
Blackhead strips are commonly used as a quick fix to fight off the pesky beauty devils. If you are using commercial pore strips, remember to wet the area before applying the strip, wait for 10-15 minutes for the strip to work. Then gently pull the strip as you pull the bandage to avoid any pulling or tugging of the skin. It is recommended not to use blackhead strips available in markets, too often.
You can also make your own pore strips from things you already have at your disposal or easily buy from a local store. We are sharing two very simple and effective ways of making your own pore strips.
1- Gelatin pore strip
You will need:
- Unflavored gelatin
Mix a tablespoon of unflavored gelatin with 1 1/2tablespoons of milk in a microwave proof bowl. Now put the mixture in the microwave for about 15 seconds.
Stir a bit and immediately apply this mixture on the areas of the face you wish to remove blackheads from. Let it sit until completely dry, as the mixture dries it will form a solid mask. Now carefully peel off the mask. Wash off face with cold water. Pat dry and apply a moisturizer.

2- Egg white pore strip
You will need:
- Egg white
- Paper towel
Put egg white in a bowl and place paper towel in the bowl to soak the liquid. Then place this soaked paper towel on the areas you wish to remove blackheads from. With a makeup brush apply more egg white mixture on the paper towel. Allow the paper to sit on your face until it completely hardens, it will take at least 15-20 minutes. Now carefully remove the paper from your face. Wash off thoroughly with cold water. Pat dry and apply a moisturizer.
